In the holidays I made a new hut in the Maitai. It is just by the river and as heaps of shelter. It is awesome. Today I’m going to make little beds in the base.

After school on Friday

On Friday after school Phoenix came to my house and we made swords and arrows. We began to make a trap but did'nt finish it. Phoenix's sword was really strong. Then he went home.

The Tree House of Horror

On Wednesday a storm struck Nelson. At school the basketball hoops fell over and the rubbish bin rolled on to the grass. Lots of trees fell over. In town the stores were closed. Some roads were even closed due to the horrible weather. Some cars were even smashed by big trees that fell over. It was so strong that I saw a little boy lift up for fourteen seconds. It was scary.

Pollution

I think people should walk or bike instead of driving because it pollutes the environment. In my opinion people should bike if they’re going less than five kilometres.
It’s not good for the environment because it costs a lot of money and you will have no money for food. Your children won’t have any food to eat.
That’s why I think we should walk or bike.

Eight Year Old Computer Troubles

We are learning to write an argument that will persuade the reader to agree with our point of view. We need to include:
• An introduction which states the problem and tells our opinion,
• Reasons for our opinion,
• An ending which restates our opinion.
The first one we have written is about what needs to happen so we get a fair turn using the computer at home.
Eight year olds have trouble getting to use the computer at home. My opinion is that everyone should have their own computer. I think the youngest should have first go on the computer or have more than one computer because their older brother or sister are always on it.

What Central Means to Me

I like gymnastics because it is really fun jumping over things. Me and my friends love it. I hope we keep doing it

Once upon a time, two hundred years ago in China, the mandarin wanted his daughter Koong-se to marry Chang.
One day Koong-se escaped out of the dreadful palace. Then the mandarin found out that Koong-se had escaped and that made the mandarin very angry. So the mandarin sent some dukes off to find them. Koong-se and Chang had escaped to an island.
They happily lived on the island until the dukes found them and put them to death.
